Scallywags Pre-School has been running for over 40 years!

We have a dedicated team of staff who work very closely with parents to ensure that every child is happy and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

We use custom-built premises attached to the Parish Hall in the village of Halwill Junction, providing quality early years education for children from the age of 2 to 5 years. We are registered to take up to 26 children per day.

Scallywags is run by a Volunteer Management Committee who employ a part-time paid Administrator.

We are a registered Charity No: 1033643 and registered with Ofsted: 106369

We have membership and insurance with Early Years Alliance.

Childcare & Education

Every member of teaching staff undertakes regular Safeguarding training and hold an up to date Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Scallywags operates with higher staff to children rations that the legal minimum requirement for 3 & 4 year olds as we feel this helps to improve the standard of care and education provided. It also means we can devote more attention to the individual needs of each child in our care.
